People are in such a hurry any more, where are they going and what for its just another mannic monday or so it seams!
We rush to work, rush home, rush to get any thing done, why all the rush?
If there is any thing that we missed it’s real direction and guidance - most people are in a mad rush to no where worth while, physically, spiritual, financially and almost any other area you want to plug into -
Our religion doesn’t seem to help much, our careers and finances just make every thing else - worse - and our social life if we have any is a wreck!
We get home shove down some micro waved food, we flop down on the couch and watch a tv if we are lucky or we are rushing off - to some other activity for the kids, for what every - home is just a pit stop and a place to sleep if we are lucky -
Woman are working two jobs all the time, at least - one that pays and the others to keep every thing else a flote -
We visit in passing, or in the grocery store - but rarely do we visit another persons home or family and if we go out, its to dinner - or some other activity, and some times we are fortunate enought to be able to visit each other -
I could go on but whats the point?
It’s simple - life for too many is way too fast paced, and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon - rush rush rush - for what?
Its time to take stock, get rid of extra activities and spend some quality time at home one with another - turn off the tv, radio, cd. dvd and computer etc -
Can we do that for 30 minutes, or even 1 hour - I wonder?
It comes down to our belief in what is important with our time, with our life and where we are going - why - because if we really don’t slow down and learn to really listen not only to Heavenly Father and other family members - it really won’t matter what we do it will all be for not and vain!
You will take with out what? Not money, not possessions - any if you are not careful not even your family, friends or loved ones -
Get back to what really matters, faith- family and learn why you are here and what you really need to be doing with your time -
And its not make another buck, not own another possession, not play another game of gulf, soccer, football, basket ball or any other ball -
It’s back to come to christ - in one and only latterday saint way - so you can be with all the other faithful saints - including your family and friends -
It’s back to faith, repentance, baptism and gift of holy ghost including obeying the spirit and its promptings — if we are going too fast we will not even recognize them let alone hear them!
It’s back to spending time on building the family, building the spirit and feeding all those feelings and actions that help us feel and keep his spirit with us, not matter what we are doing and where we are going!
Slow down you are going to fast - for your spirits good, for your health and for your eternal future - don’t loose your family, friends and your faith — and all that goes with it –
Slow down - prime the pump - read the scriptures, listen to conference talks, do some home teaching, attend the temple - attend the church - spend some time with loved ones etc etc -
